 Lea Taylor
- Tell us about you?
- Well, to know me is to love me…just kidding! But if you do know me, the odds are that of some of my life adventures are bound to end up on your list of the “Top 10 Greatest Stories You Have Heard.” I am a free spirit that tries to enjoy life. I love skydiving, basketball, volleyball, shopping, theatre, ‘fun/happy’ music, karaoke and good books! I have wonderful husband, Ryan and two beautiful children, Brenna and Andrew. Combine all of the above and that is why I have the best stories!
- What is your approach to life?
- I operate under the premise that you should at least experience different aspects of life one time for the sheer exposure and adventure. You never know what you just might end up loving! At the very least, you will have a new appreciation for something that you did not have before. Life should be fun. Smile. Enjoy it.
- Where have you worked?
- I began my professional career in Dallas where I managed media plans for such clients as Subaru, Quaker State and GTE. After about 6 years, I moved to Chicago (without knowing anyone, by the way) and immersed myself into the interactive world with TMP Worldwide (founder/creator of Monster.com). There I consulted Fortune 500 clients on interactive/web solutions that would help streamline and improve efficiencies with regards to their employment branding and recruitment efforts. TMP Worldwide then relocated me to Raleigh, NC to head up interactive solutions for clients in North Carolina and surrounding states. I was there until moving back to Fort Smith. I worked with some local media and agencies upon my return and really got to know the clientele and possibilities here. I have had the fortunate opportunity to work with the best and thus I was able to bring this knowledge home.
 - Why Fort Smith, Arkansas?
- Well, I am originally from here. I left after high school for college and to focus on my career. I had put my professional career first before all until 9/11. I was in Raleigh, NC about to head to the airport when the first attack hit. That day changed my perception on life and I shifted my focus to family first. Thus I moved home and married my now-husband and started a family. Oh yea! And a business called What If Creative! Having lived elsewhere I see the amazing potential that this city and region has and I’m happy to do whatever I can to facilitate growth and success for all that live here.
- If you could meet one celebrity tomorrow, who would it be?
- Tough call. I would be torn between Will Smith (funny, smart, family-man, sexy, singer and dancer —whew! Talk about having it all!) And Oprah. She is just amazing. If you truly look at all that she has accomplished, it’s unbelievable. (I know….I cheated and gave you two!)
- Last question — What is your favorite song?
- Not fair. (You like how I am shocked about the questions — even though I wrote them…) I have so many fun songs!! Can I list two? Sure! Do Anything by Natural Selection and Soldier of Love by Donny Osmond! (you have to be an 80/90’s freak to know these) FUN!!!!
